Geneva

Geneva Alexis Lee

On July 2, 2005, God blessed my wife, Brenda Simone Lee, and me with the birth of a healthy and lovely six pound, ten ounce, baby daughter. Since Brenda is from Praslin Island, Seychelles (in the Indian Ocean), and I was originally born in Ripley, Tennessee, I stretched a string on the globe between those two points. Geneva, Switzerland, was roughly halfway, so we named our new daughter "Geneva" ("Alexis" came from an old James Gang song). This site contains photos of her from the time she was first seen on an ultrasound up to the present.

Seychelles for Americans

Since 1993, I have been married to a lady from the Seychelles. I worked for 25 years or so in international shipping, and I prided myself on being pretty good in geography. However, I had never heard of the Seychelles before. The more I learned about the place, the more intrigued I became. They have giant tortoises, flying foxes (fruit bats) and a tree with the largest fruit and leaf in the world. Travel Channel has rated them in world's best beaches for 2003 & 2004. Paul McCartney spent his last honeymoon there. Visit this site to find out more about this amazing and breath-takingly beautiful "lost Garden of Eden".

SpirEx

Spiritual Explorations

The name can be a little misleading, I suppose. But, that's what I've always called my collection of poetry and song lyrics. Some may seem elementary, as I was a youngster when I started. I'm not going to post all of them. Many of these that you will see were written in the 70's, and my slant at that time is much different than it is now. Some of the more recent ones are being worked on now by local musician friends of mine, so to protect current joint efforts, these will not be posted until their work is finished. You may note the content and meter can be unconventional at times, but that's why we coined the term "poetic license", right?

Filterz-R-Fun

This is a new site in a very early stage. If you have ever had the opportunity to work with Adobe Photoshop, then you probably alreay know that it is one of most powerful image editing programs out there. One of the editing categories contained therein is "filters". These filters allow you to create some pretty amazing effects with your images. On this site, you can see some of the images which have I have "filtered". If you have any that you would like to submit, I'll be glad to screen them. If deemed appropriate, I'll be more than happy to post yours and give you the due credit/acknowledgement.

Postcards from the Past

My father (above) brought back 100+ postcards from WWII/Europe. He found them in a bombed out house, if I recall the story correctly. They date from turn of the 20th century up to the war, and can see the fronts and backs. Some have stamps (one of Hitler) and German writing on them (sorry, I can't read German so I can't tell you what they say). Some have Nazi planes on them, yet some are very artistic. This site is a memorial to my father. Please feel free to browse by clicking on the above header.

"Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream Home"

Lee Home

In my ultimate wisdom, I decided to build my own home. To save money, I decided I would act as my own general contractor. I have zero knowledge in this regard. I'm sure that if anyone reading this has ever attempted same, they are likely already laughing at this point.

I had the pleasure of seeing an old Cary Grant movie called "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream Home" (or something like that). If you've ever thought about doing your own general contracting, be sure you see this movie first. Anyway, the linked title above will take you to a photo album showing my progress from the purchase of the lot to it's current state of completion (assuming I'll EVER get it completed, LOL!)

The link to the homebuilding site is the title above ("Mr. Blandings...), but here's a couple more links for brick driveway column plans and brick mailbox plans. I had trouble finding good free ones on the internet, so I decided to do some research and draw my own. Here's those links:
